We are now Hiring a Purchasing Assistant!
Compensation: Full-time Hourly, Depending upon experience
Location: Broken Sound Club - 2401 Willow Springs Dr, Boca Raton, Florida 33496
Position Summary:
The Purchasing Assistant supports the purchasing and receiving items along with inventory and quality control Purchasing Assistant works closely with the Director of Purchasing and Purchasing Supervisor.
Stock and rotate products and maintain cooler and freezer cleanliness.
Maintaining a clean and safe environment in the stockrooms, loading dock area, coolers and Receiving hallway.
Comparing invoices to amount ordered.
Assist with monthly physical inventory.
Date, label, and rotate all items according to company standards.
Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures, such as First In-First Out (FIFO) and Cold Chain compliance, across all food-related departments or areas.
Identify and remove merchandise that is outdated, distressed, or unacceptable in appearance to ensure quality and freshness.
Organize and clean all walk-in and reach-in refrigerators and freezers.
Reduce workplace hazards in storeroom by following safe handling and storage policies and procedures.
Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items, track refusal of items, and communicate to appropriate management.
Inspect deliveries and date times to verify freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality
QualificationsEducation & Work Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
Excellent communication skills
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
