Prairieview Surgical Centre, part of Surgical Centres Inc., a division of Clearpoint Health, is a leading outpatient surgical facility known for compassionate, high-quality care is hiring Purchasing and Procurement Coordinator.

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Purchasing and Procurement Coordinator. This role is essential to ensuring clinical teams have timely access to the supplies they need. The successful candidate will manage incoming inventory, keep stock areas organized, and accurately track supplies using our Inflow inventory management system. This is a career-oriented position for someone looking for growth, variety, and the opportunity to build skills in a key operational role.

Position Type: Full time 1.0 FTE

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage supply ordering for all areas, including OR, PACU and Admin.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain vendor contracts and coordinate equipment maintenance.
  • Coordinate inventory delivery to Finance and ensure accurate data collection.
  • Utilize inventory management tools to track stock levels, perform cycle counts, and reconcile purchase orders and invoices.
  • Monitor consumable usage by case and perform stock reconciliation.
  • Stock shelves and maintain an organized, efficient, and safe storage environment.
  • Support supply chain processes, including stock rotation, expiry checks, and timely replenishment.
  • Communicate proactively with clinical and administrative teams regarding supply levels and shortages.
  • Ensure all storage areas comply with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Follow organizational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience in Procurement and or supply chain, warehousing, inventory management, or materials handling preferably in health/surgical or medical device background.
  • Computer proficiency, including the ability to learn and navigate HST inventory management systems and other digital tools.
  • Strong organizational skills, analytical skills, problem solving skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines with high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes up to 40 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Work Environment

  • Work is primarily based in the medical facility’s storage and supply areas, with movement throughout the clinic as required.
  • Team-oriented setting with a strong focus on efficiency, quality, and operational excellence.
