SPECIAL NOTES:

Four (4) years of relevant purchasing experience is required. A post-secondary degree in Business Administration or related fields may be used as an alternative for the years of experience on a year-for-year basis.

Additional requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Proficient in the English Language

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of procurement, purchasing, and contract administration
  • Knowledge of State of Florida Contract Management and Procurement Statutes, Policies, Procedures and Practices
  • Knowledge of vendor management and supply chain processes
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures, records management, and documentation standards
  • Knowledge of conducting inventory activities
  • Knowledge of computer software and applications to include Microsoft Office Suite
  • Skill in analytical thinking and cost analysis
  • Skill in effective written and verbal communication
  • Skill in critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Skill in attention to detail and accuracy
  • Skills in organizational and time management
  • Ability to interpret and apply procurement laws, rules, and policies

Salary Range: $45,060.11 to $65,000.00 per year.

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

This position is responsible for procuring goods and services in support of agency operations in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and policies. This position performs professional-level procurement work, including preparing solicitations, evaluating vendor responses, administering contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations. The incumbent exercises independent judgment in procurement activities, provides guidance to program areas, and supports cost-effective and compliant purchasing operations.
