ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Purchasing Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials, services, and resources required to support manufacturing operations. You will drive procurement excellence through effective supplier management, purchase order execution, inventory optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. By leveraging analytical thinking, strong negotiation skills, and a continuous improvement mindset, you will contribute to cost reduction initiatives, supply continuity, and operational performance while supporting the overall business objectives of the plant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage purchase order (PO) transactions and procurement activities across various commodities including direct materials, indirect materials, MRO, tooling, capital expenditures (CAPEX), and related categories.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely procurement of materials and uninterrupted production operations.
  • Monitor supplier performance, manage supplier orders, and ensure on-time delivery to support customer and production requirements.
  • Support direct material forecasting activities and align purchasing plans with production demand.
  • Drive inventory management initiatives for purchased materials to improve inventory turns while maintaining supply reliability.
  • Identify and support cost reduction opportunities through supplier negotiations, sourcing strategies, value engineering, and other value-creation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and other departments to improve procurement processes and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate procurement data and transaction records within ERP systems while ensuring compliance with company purchasing procedures.
  • Support implementation and adherence to global and local purchasing processes, policies, and systems.
  • Analyze purchasing data, supplier performance metrics, and inventory trends to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement activities.
  • Resolve purchasing and supply-related issues through effective problem-solving and communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement effectiveness and overall business performance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain functions, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Experience managing supplier orders, procurement activities, and supply continuity.
  • Knowledge of direct material forecasting and inventory management processes.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; QAD experience is preferred.
  • intermediate or higher proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
