Join the Team at Hubbard Supplyhouse!

Hubbard Supplyhouse is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our family-like atmosphere. We are a plumbing and irrigation supply house that also specializes in kitchen, bath, appliances, and lighting. We proudly serve local plumbers, builders, and homeowners in bringing beautiful and functional living spaces to life. As a family-owned, Christian company, our Core Focus (Mission Statement) is “Honoring God with a great team that builds customer partnerships by delivering on expectations”. Our team is built on trust, service, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

The Purchasing Agent (Buyer – Inventory Replenishment) supports company success by managing inventory replenishment for a group of our highest-volume plumbing product lines, including water heaters, fixtures and china, pumps, and commodity pipe and fittings. This role is responsible for purchasing inventory for all branch locations and our distribution center while maintaining product availability, healthy inventory turns, and accurate, up-to-date purchase orders. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and analytical, with strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage a high-volume purchasing workload. They thrive in a team-first environment and bring strong communication, problem-solving, and technology skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendor partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned buy lines in Epicor Eclipse so stocked items stay in stock at every branch.
  • Keep a clean and current book of open purchase orders: follow up with vendors so every open PO carries an accurate date, quantity and cost.
  • Work the procurement queue so special-order material is ordered on time.
  • Maintain product data in Eclipse: minimums, order points, lead times, and replacement cost that matches the PO.
  • Track vendor lead times and order ahead on long lead-time lines so stock arrives before it is needed.
  • Use vendor promotions and buy-ins when they fit the inventory plan.
  • Use vendor stock rotations to keep inventory clean and non-moving SKUs to a minimum.
  • Support the purchasing team by providing coverage for assigned product lines when team members are out.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Maintain strong product availability across assigned “A” and “B” ranked items.
  • Keep open purchase orders accurate, current, and well-managed.
  • Maintain healthy inventory turns and GMROI across assigned product lines.
  • Ensure purchase order costs align with replacement costs.

What We Offer:

  • Monday–Friday schedule (no nights or weekends)
  • Matching 401(k) and profit-sharing program
  • Comprehensive benefits package with supplemental options
  • Paid holidays, PTO, and sick leave
  • Christmas bonus, team-building events and company picnic
  • Employee discount program
  • Career advancement and ongoing training opportunities
