MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team. This is a fully remote position.

The selected candidate will provide accounting and administrative support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists senior staff in executing functional procurement duties and supporting day-to-day purchasing operations.
  • Procures complex or technical supplies and services by evaluating bids, recommending qualified suppliers, and negotiating pricing, delivery, quality, and service terms.
  • Resolves supplier claims regarding damages, rejections, losses, returns, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes.
  • Engages with vendors daily, conducts market research, and tracks contract awards through final order completion.
  • Ensures full compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations, utilizing working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Tracks and analyzes logistical data within proprietary databases while fulfilling information requests from the Program Management Office and government contacts.
  • Manages multiple projects concurrently in a collaborative team setting using MS Office and Google Workspace.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of procurement or purchasing experience; OR Associate’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience; OR 10+ years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience purchasing complex or technical supplies/services, evaluating bids, and negotiating contract terms.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and corporate compliance standards.
  • Experience resolving supplier claims, rejections, returns, and order modifications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
  • Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.


The projected compensation range for this position is $58,000.00-$95,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
