Purchasing Administrator

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Administrator to join our Cresting Operations & Administration team to help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

This is a full-time, permanent role reporting into the Crested Administration & Operations Purchasing Team Leader. In this role, you’ll make sure the business has everything it needs to operate day-to-day—from placing orders to working with suppliers and supporting different teams across the site. It’s a varied role where no two days are quite the same, and you’ll have a real impact on how efficiently things run.

What you’ll be doing

  • Raising and managing purchase orders for operational teams
  • Keeping systems and records up to date and compliant
  • Helping colleagues across the business with purchasing queries
  • Supporting reporting, forecasting, and data analysis
  • Chasing and resolving supplier issues (deliveries, quality, payments)
  • Keeping an eye on the Goods Received Notice process to make sure everything matches up
  • Looking for ways to save costs and improve how we work
  • Supporting supplier negotiations and contracts
  • Carrying out checks on open purchase orders
  • Working with teams like Engineering and EHS on new products or trials

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to tick every box, but ideally you’ll have:

  • Some experience in purchasing, procurement, or a similar admin role
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
  • A strong eye for detail and good organisational skills
  • Confidence communicating with different teams and suppliers
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
  • Knowledge of systems like AS400
  • Any experience with embroidery (helpful, but not essential!)
