Our award-winning client is seeking a Purchaser or Buyer to join their team.Seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic food & beverage company. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, a strong understanding of procurement processes, and excellent negotiation skills. This role will involve sourcing and managing suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality ingredients, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of procurement operations, including sourcing, qualifying, and managing suppliers.

• Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure favorable terms and pricing.

• Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Manage inventory levels to optimize stock levels and minimize costs.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.

• Analyze market trends and pricing data to identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Verify supplier invoices and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.

• Maintain accurate procurement records, including costs, delivery, quality, and inventory.

• Prepare cost analysis of quotes to current cost of goods.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within the food & beverage industry.

• Strong understanding of food & beverage industry practices, regulations, and supply chain procedures.

• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and procurement software (Navision is a plus).

• Willingness to travel 50% domestically and internationally to supplier sites.
