Job Description

A growing distributor is seeking a detail-oriented Purchaser to manage procurement of goods and materials to support day-to-day operations. This role involves working with vendors, placing orders, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of products to maintain business continuity.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and skilled at negotiating with suppliers and managing purchasing workflows.

Responsibilities Include:

• Placing and tracking purchase orders based on inventory needs

• Building and maintaining vendor relationships

• Negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules

• Monitoring stock levels and restocking in a timely manner

• Coordinating with warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth supply flow

• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Ideal Qualifications:

• Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Proficiency with inventory or ERP systems is a plus

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
