Job Title

Pulverizer Technician - 3rd Shift

The purpose of this position is to ensure that the pulverizationequipment andprocess isoperatedefficiently and safely.This position also includesprecisionpulverizerblade settings, quality checks,lift truck operations,andoperatingthe pulverization equipment

Primary Job Tasks

Learn,understand,andoperatepulverizersystems

Visual inspections of thepulverizerand dust collectionmonitoring systemsin the following areas:

Pulverizerroom and attachedauxillaryequipment,Camfildust collection unit, waste trailer area, dust reclaim tanker area

Communicate downtime events and quality concerns through technology

Forms,computer, andradio usage

Maintain a clean and safe workspace

Identifyand communicateMaintenance supportneeds throughsupervisor.

Perform quality testing and sampling on regular interval

Record qualitytestingusing designated forms

Make process adjustments to address quality concerns including but not limited to:

Blade gap settings, blade replacements, material feed rates

Maintain awareness of and coordinatewaste trailer andpulverizertanker replacements with Shipping Deptandassistwith trailerreplacement tasks

Assistwith dust reclaim box out system as needed.

Perform all shift cleaning assignments.

Train newTechnicians.

Other duties as requested by Lead or Supervisor.

Requirements:

Must have the ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math.

Must follow all Plant RP safety requirements including PPE usage.

Must be familiar with or willing to learn current computer systems and software.

Must be able tooperatea lift truck once trained.

Must be able to lift 5-15lbs on a regular basis throughout the day.

Must have the ability to be cross trained for other jobs.

Demonstrated ability to maketimelydecisions.

Passion andtrack recordof achieving results. 

Proven ability to work collaboratively with all levels of associates.

Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime asrequired.
