Pulmonologist – Full-Time

St. Michael’s Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Pulmonologist to join a busy and growing pulmonary medicine practice in Newark, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician looking to join an established practice with a strong patient volume and collaborative clinical environment.

St. Michael’s Medical Center is located in the heart of Newark, providing convenient access to New York City and the surrounding New Jersey communities.

Responsibilities

The Pulmonologist will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with a broad range of pulmonary and respiratory conditions. Responsibilities may include:

  • Outpatient pulmonary consultations and follow-up care
  • Diagnosis and management of respiratory diseases
  • Evaluation of chronic and acute pulmonary conditions
  • Interpretation of pulmonary diagnostic testing
  • Collaboration with primary care physicians, hospitalists, and other specialists
  • Providing high-quality, evidence-based patient care
  • Participation in the medical staff and department activities as appropriate

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of an accredited Pulmonary Medicine or Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine fellowship
  • Board eligible or board certified in Pulmonary Disease
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred
  • New Jersey medical license or eligibility
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy practice environment

Pay Transparency

St. Michael's Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $320,000- 350,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
