Pulmonologist – Full-Time

St. Michael’s Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Pulmonologist to join a busy and growing pulmonary medicine practice in Newark, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician looking to join an established practice with a strong patient volume and collaborative clinical environment.

Responsibilities

The Pulmonologist will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with a broad range of pulmonary and respiratory conditions. Responsibilities may include:

• Outpatient pulmonary consultations and follow-up care
• Diagnosis and management of respiratory diseases
• Evaluation of chronic and acute pulmonary conditions
• Interpretation of pulmonary diagnostic testing
• Collaboration with primary care physicians, hospitalists, and other specialists
• Providing high-quality, evidence-based patient care
• Participation in the medical staff and department activities as appropriate

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of an accredited Pulmonary Medicine or Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine fellowship
• Board eligible or board certified in Pulmonary Disease
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred
• New Jersey medical license or eligibility
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a busy practice environment

Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $320,000- 350,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
