Job Description

The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching pulmonary and critical care fellows, house staff, medical students and advanced practitioners within the Health System. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.

Clinical responsibilities may include proficiency in treating patients with thoracic oncology, complex airways and pleural disorders and in performing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy and pleural disease procedures. Rounding on inpatient and consultative services and participating in a busy outpatient clinical practice at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital.

Preferred candidates will have an interest in thoracic oncology, complex benign airways and pleural disorders, lung cancer screening and biomarker assessment.
