HR Section Manager – HR Operations and Union Relations

Barrick Pueblo Viejo is looking for a highly experienced HR Section Manager – HR Operations and Union Relations to oversee the execution of HR processes, ensuring compliance with labor laws and collective bargaining agreements, and supporting effective employee relations within a unionized environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational excellence while fostering constructive relationships with union representatives.

Main Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end HR operations (offboarding, final payments coordination, employee conflict resolution, PIP’s, Employee Disciplinary process, employee records, employee investigations/Compliance).

• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all HR processes.

• Act as a key liaison between HR management and union representatives.

• Support collective bargaining agreement (CBA) implementation and compliance.

• Participate in grievance handling, investigations, and dispute resolution processes.

• Prepare documentation and analysis for labor negotiations.

• Provide guidance to leaders on employee relations matters within a unionized and non-unionize workforce.

• Support conflict resolution and disciplinary processes

• Promote fair and consistent application of policies.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in HR Operations, preferably in a unionized environment.

• Strong understanding of union dynamics and labor relations.

• Strong knowledge of labor laws and collective bargaining processes.

• Experience in managing employee relations and grievance procedures.

• Bilingual- English & Spanish

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.

This role will be based at the Pueblo Viejo mine site and requires availability for daily travel to the operation.
