The Publishing Operations Value Stream Quality Analyst transforms value stream, workflow, and performance data into actionable insights, reports, and visual narratives that drive decision making and optimize cost, productivity, and process quality across Publishing Operations. This position helps drive operational excellence through the careful administration of Sage’s workflow management systems to embed standardized, data-led process improvements.
· Work closely with key partners in Process Management and Operations to identify, capture, and analyze value stream data that will support decision-making for cost optimization, productivity, and other process improvements.
· Implement, manage, maintain, and develop value stream reports and dashboards across Publishing Operations.
· Work closely with Process Managers prior to, during, and after Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping events to identify, analyze, and present data for understanding the current state, root cause analysis, and tracking the outcomes after change implementation.
· Use data-driven insights to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies across value streams.
· Build intuitive and informative visual representations of data to facilitate easier understanding and decision-making.
· Communicate findings and recommendations to collaborators in a clear and persuasive manner.
· Use workflow configuration maps to build and update templates in Sage’s workflow management system to support improved and standardized processes.
· Set up new users in publishing systems and tools, including creating accounts, training users, and providing access to process documentation to ensure optimal use of systems.
· Perform user acceptance testing on various publishing systems, writing up findings in Jira tickets.
· Identify the process changes that will result from new features in publishing systems and publish these in a newsletter to support the adoption of new processes by users.
· Identify and implement new fields in the workflow management system that support value stream data analysis.
· Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) required.
· Proven experience with quality tools and proven experience have having run Six Sigma or Lean projects.
· Experience with Microsoft Office 365 apps.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong problem-solving skills with a curiosity about identifying trends and patterns.
Ability to work optimally in a team and collaborate with various groups.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Excellent prioritizing skills and a high level of adaptability.
Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail.
