Responsibilities: - Support HQ and regional publishing teams by conducting qualitative and quantitative user research across Southeast Asia. Translate research findings into actionable insights that support publishing and product decisions. - Deepen the understanding of local markets and players for both HQ business teams and the user research team, providing audience- and market-level insights from time to time. - Collaborate cross-functionally with data analytics, user operations, and other teams to integrate resources and drive the implementation of research findings. - Organize and execute offline qualitative research projects across the region, controlling the research process and execution quality — including research design, plan delivery, and handling contingencies during fieldwork. - Expand existing recruitment channels, integrate player contact information both inside and outside the game, and optimize existing recruitment mechanisms. - Maintain and expand overseas vendor resources.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree or above in Psychology, Social Science, Marketing, or a related field. - 1–3 years of experience in user research / market research, having independently led or deeply contributed to end-to-end qualitative and quantitative projects; experience in games or internet-related categories is a plus. - Strong qualitative interviewing skills — able to independently design discussion guides, moderate sessions, and probe deeply; also proficient in quantitative methods such as surveys and data analysis. - Strong execution ability and self-drive — able to proactively push research execution through to delivery and independently resolve issues along the way, without relying on frequent instruction or supervision. - Hands-on experience and ability in applying AI to real work — e.g., using AI for interview transcription and coding, qualitative data analysis, report drafting, and translation — and continuously explores AI applications across the research workflow. - Good communication skills, able to work with business stakeholders independently, align on needs, and drive the implementation of research results. - Proficient in both Mandarin and English. Mandarin is required for daily communication, while English is used for interviews and cross-functional collaboration. Able to prepare reports and documentation in either Chinese or English. Strongly preferred: Proficiency in at least one Southeast Asian language (Indonesian, Malay, or Filipino/Tagalog), with the ability to independently conduct qualitative interviews in that language. - Passionate about games with hands-on gaming experience, especially MOBA titles. Able to understand player behavior from both a researcher and player perspective. - Comfortable with regular business travel across Southeast Asia.
