The Job Profile
Reporting to a Deputy Head of Publicity, the Publicity Manager will work across a diverse range of literary fiction and non-fiction titles, developing imaginative, effective and well-executed publicity campaigns within the busy Adult Publicity Department.

The role will collaborate closely with editorial, marketing, digital and sales teams to create integrated promotional plans that maximise author profiles, audience engagement and book success.

The Job Role
The Publicity Manager will coordinate publicity campaigns across a range of adult publishing titles, securing media coverage and opportunities to raise author profiles. They will write engaging copy for press releases, festival pitches and other publicity materials, while building and maintaining relationships with journalists, librarians, festival programmers and other key contacts. The role will also involve managing campaign budgets, organising and attending festivals, conferences, author tours and promotional events.
The Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a driven, ambitious and highly organised Publicity Manager with a genuine passion for books and publishing. You will have a proven track record of leading and delivering inventive, strategic publicity campaigns across traditional, digital and social media, with proven success in organising author events, book launches and tours, both large and small. With an established network of media and event contacts, you will be able to hit the ground running in a vibrant department.

You will be creative, proactive and motivated, with exemplary organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, from debut authors to established brands. You will build strong relationships with authors, agents, journalists and colleagues, exercise sound judgement, communicate with confidence, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Please note, due to the nature of the industry the candidate maybe required to work non-office hours, including weekends, evenings and overnights, to help support at publicity events and will ideally be able to be in the office in London at least three days a week.
