Publican | The (New) Benowa Tavern

This is a REALLY special opportunity to run an absolute cracker of a venue right in the heart of the Gold Coast! The Benowa Tavern (4217) is looking for its next Publican to take the reins.

Following a $5 million refurb & transformation, the Benowa Tavern has shed its skin. We have re-designed this venue into a classy and high-energy destination designed for the affluent Gold Coast crowd.

The Dining Hall is the heart of The Benowa, a spacious area that spills out onto the deck with stunning water views; the Bar is an expansive area flowing onto the deck with taps pouring ice cold beer; The Deck is where the great outdoors truly comes alive, offering a sprawling space perfect for soaking up the Sunshine Coast air.

We are looking for someone who lives and breathes hospitality, leads from the front, and brings locals together by creating pub experiences they love.

What’s a Publican, really?

Publican’ - In the world of Pubs, leadership is the art of turning strangers into friends and friends into loyal guests.

A day in the life of a Publican:

• You know the locals by name, they reckon you’re one of their own, all while keeping a sharp eye on the P&L.

• You run the place like it’s your own modern-day home, keeping things safe, smooth, and compliant.

• You put out fires before anyone even notices there was smoke.

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

Hold current industry RSA and RSG/RCG qualifications as per state requirements
