The Public Works Utility Lead performs skilled work in the operation, maintenance, repair, and
construction of municipal water distribution infrastructure. Provides day-to-day leadership and
work direction to assigned employees while actively participating in utility maintenance
activities. Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of water mains, valves,
hydrants, service lines, pumping facilities, and related infrastructure. This position is responsible
for supervising the assigned tasks and work orders in accordance with policies, procedures, and
applicable laws of the City. This position is included in the on-call schedule and is responsible for
backing up the Streets/Park Lead in their absence.
