Develop, facilitate and oversee Department-wide equipment, tools, job task and emergency training programs for the assigned Department of Public Works. Assess training needs; design develop and implement training programs to enhance or develop the required skills.
Compensation negotiable based on qualifications.
Additional Duties
Six years of construction, Public Works, industrial plant and/or maintenance experience; AND two (2) years of experience developing, coordinating, and facilitating training; OR, any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities. Experienced in safety training and industry standards.
A valid Virginia State Driver's License is required with an approved driving record based on the City of Lynchburg's driving criteria
A valid State of Virginia Traffic Flagging Card or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
A valid First Aid Card and CPR card are required or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
