SUMMARY: Under general supervision, provides dispatch services to operators and customers of buses and trolleys over fixed routes.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Communication Skills: Strong verbal skills to interact clearly with drivers and the public, along with good writing skills for logs.
Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve conflicts, manage delays, and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Computer Assisted Dispatch (CAD) systems, maps, and radio communication equipment.
Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) safety regulations and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements.
Organization: Managing multiple tasks simultaneously, such as scheduling, responding to calls, and monitoring vehicle locations.
High School diploma or equivalent; AND one year of dispatch experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work is performed in a standard office environment.
