About This Role

As a Public Sector Account Manager, you will form a key part of the wider Sales & Business Development team, reporting into the VP of Sales. You will be responsible for building, nurturing, and converting a pipeline of new business opportunities across the UK Public Sector, including Central Government, Arms Length Bodies, Local Government, Health, Housing, and related public service organisations. This role is a 70% net new / 30% account management split.

This role blends demand generation, pipeline management, and full‑cycle sales leadership. You will conduct targeted outreach, build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, develop sector‑specific market intelligence, and own opportunities from initial qualification through to close.

You’ll play a crucial role in supporting Namos’ rapid growth, representing a trusted Oracle Partner known for delivering high‑impact transformation programmes. This is a highly visible, strategic sales role where your contribution will directly influence company performance.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Demand Generation

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new public sector business opportunities through outbound calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn engagement, events and webinars
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring coverage against monthly and quarterly targets
  • Conduct targeted research using all available tools to identify budget cycles, upcoming programmes, commercial frameworks and procurement pathways


Sales Cycle Ownership

  • Lead opportunities through the full end‑to‑end sales process, from discovery and qualification through to proposal, presentation and negotiation
  • Book and deliver high‑quality sales appointments with key decision makers and influencers
  • Work closely with internal bid, pre‑sales and consulting teams to shape compelling proposals and value-driven solution pitches


Relationship Management

  • Build trusted relationships with senior executives across the public sector
  • Maintain close working relationships with Oracle and other ecosystem partners to identify joint opportunities and align go‑to‑market activities
  • Represent Namos at industry events, trade shows, user groups and Oracle conferences


Reporting & Governance

  • Maintain accurate, timely CRM updates including opportunity notes, forecasts, next actions and qualification criteria
  • Produce weekly opportunity forecast updates for the VP of sale and Senior Leadership Team
  • Prepare pre‑meeting materials, discovery summaries and contribute to internal bid reviews


About You

You are an experienced software or services sales professional with strong knowledge of the UK Public Sector landscape and proven success selling SaaS, Cloud and related enterprise technology solutions and services. You thrive in a target‑driven environment, have high energy and have a track record of building rapport, navigating complex procurement routes, and closing significant deals.

You will be comfortable operating independently, while collaborating closely with sales, pre‑sales, marketing and consulting teams.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable success in SaaS or enterprise software sales and associated services - preferably Oracle, ERP, HCM, EPM or related enterprise applications

  • Experience selling directly into the UK Public Sector, including knowledge of procurement frameworks and government buying processes

  • Excellent telephone, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to build and maintain trusted senior stakeholder relationships

  • Experience delivering value‑based sales and articulating business case outcomes

  • Strong written communication skills, including ability to produce high‑quality proposals and follow‑up documentation

  • Ability to work to (and exceed) sales targets with a positive mindset and a high level of professionalism

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities concurrently


Desirable

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Applications or competing enterprise SaaS platforms

  • Experience selling both Cloud and On‑Premise solutions

  • Prior experience collaborating with pre‑sales, bid management and delivery teams

  • Awareness of public sector technology trends and digital transformation priorities
