We are looking for a hands-on Public Relations Specialist to support the continued growth of Trip.com Group across Europe, with a primary focus on leading PR and communications activities for TrainPal, a subsidiary of Trip.com Group (https://www.mytrainpal.com/), across the UK and wider European markets.
Reporting to the Head of PR, this role will focus on media outreach, content creation, campaign coordination, and digital PR support. You will collaborate closely with internal teams including Marketing, Partnerships, and Product, as well as external PR agencies, to help drive brand awareness and media visibility across key markets.
In this Role, you’ll get to- Support the execution of creative PR campaigns and media activity for TrainPal across the UK and Europe.
- Build and maintain relationships with travel, lifestyle, tech and consumer media, including journalists, content creators and digital publishers.
- Draft press releases, media pitches and engaging content to promote TrainPal’s products, partnerships and travel insights.
- Work closely with TrainPal business teams (Marketing, Partnerships, Product) and internal leaders to align PR activity with key business priorities.
- Collaborate with the Group PR and Communications team and external PR agencies to deliver coordinated campaigns.
- Support digital PR initiatives, including social media amplification, influencer collaborations and travel trend stories.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare PR reports and coverage summaries and campaign insights.
- Work with external PR agencies to support campaigns and media outreach.
- Support industry events, trade shows and press engagements across the UK and Europe.
- Track travel and rail industry trends to identify new media opportunities.
- Assist with media enquiries and support reputation-related communications when needed
What you'll Need to Succeed- 2–4 years experience in PR, communications, journalism or media relations.
- Experience working with UK media, digital publications or PR agencies.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills in English.
- Interest in travel, rail or consumer technology.
- Understanding of modern PR channels, including digital media, social and influencer partnerships.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Experience supporting PR campaigns, media events or agency coordination is a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe if required.
- Fluency in English is required; additional European language skills (French, Spanish and/or Italian) are an advantage.
