As a part of the Commerce Public Relations (PR) team, you will support external communications for the Commerce product area, the team behind Google’s Shopping and Payments product portfolio. As a part of the Shopping and Payments team, you will make it easier for retailers and merchants to connect with consumers throughout the shopping journey, from inspiration to consideration to a simple and secure checkout experience. You will work closely with executive leaders to showcase how our products are innovative and helpful for consumers, merchants and partners every day.
In this hybrid role, you will support external communications for Google's Commerce team, driving both Payments PR and cross-Commerce momentum. Your role is designed for an agile, creative communicator who can seamlessly pivot from driving technical product launches and managing issues for our Payments products to spearheading always-on consumer campaigns.
As a part of this role, you will use strategic communications to show how Payments products support the commerce ecosystem and agentic commerce across Google, including telling positive stories about the benefits of our products through launches, proactive pitching and social media. You will also be responsible for bringing cross-commerce narratives to life through creative activations and data-driven storytelling, capitalizing on major cultural shopping moments to elevate our products. You will foster close relationships with consumer, retail, and tech press, as well as digital creators, help drive consistent, positive momentum for the Commerce portfolio.It's our job to help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders--and our own employees--about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values, and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. To succeed here, you'll combine creativity with organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines simultaneously, as well as enjoy pitching to journalists, bloggers and commentators, or producing internal communications and events for our employees. Things happen quickly at Google and to get stuff done here you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally and isn't hesitant to take risks or try new things.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $116000 - $166000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
