The Chief Client Office (CCO) is focused on providing a consistent Client Experience across all business lines and geographies, enabling enhanced Client Satisfaction, Revenue Growth and Business Line Success. The CCO function includes Sales, Partners, Relationship Management, Integration, Marketing & Communications and Sales Analytics & Operations.

The Impact you will have in this role:

Under the direction of the Director of Global Public Relations, this person will serve as a key member of the DTCC M&C team in Jersey City, with responsibility for further building brand awareness with members of the media and analyst community to drive coverage while maintaining a positive image with key stakeholders and accelerating the achievement of DTCC’s corporate goals. By partnering closely with members of the M&C team, business heads and thought leaders within the company, he/she will review media trends and topics, develop compelling messaging and content to position DTCC as a global leader and integral infrastructure & technology provider to the global financial markets, and generate positive reporting.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

• Working with the Director of Global Public Relations in Jersey City, strategize, develop and execute robust global public relations strategies across DTCC’s Wealth business and Technology Innovation priorities and their related thought leadership areas, generating awareness and coverage via proactive pitching, interviews, bylines, media tours, statements, roundtables, editor briefings, building and nurturing journalist relations and more. The person will also assist with Digital Asset initiatives under the direction of the Director of Global Public Relations in Jersey City.
• Collaborate with M&C peers to ensure a holistic M&C strategy and reporting, with defined goals and measurable achievements.
• Leverage writing skills and knowledge of the industry, DTCC and our offerings to develop compelling thought leadership pieces, incorporating story telling as appropriate.
• Develop, manage and maintain strong relationships with key media around the world that are active in the Wealth and Technology space, responding to urgent inquiries across business topics, developing and advancing journalist relationships, and facilitating in-person meetings with DTCC’s spokespeople.
• Seek proactive opportunities to engage targeted trade and technology publication journalists to advance coverage and understanding of DTCC’s Innovation priorities and focus areas.
• Develop strong relationships with global PR agencies in US and London, advising and directing on strategy and work initiatives and reviewing and approving all quotes, content and coverage.
• Monitor and read all coverage related to relevant topics and strategize around areas of opportunity – including new topics for DTCC and the business.
• Support social media activity for media activities and select key executives, including content development, video initiatives and more.
• Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

• Communications or Marketing degree, with a deep understanding of public relations and other communications disciplines
• Demonstrated experience in strategizing, writing and executing creative PR programs and campaigns to achieve business goals and objectives.
• Strong, pre-existing journalist contacts within financial media including tier 1s and financial trade publications, as well as relationships with key podcasts.
• Excellent verbal and writing capabilities, with the ability to translate complex business topics into higher level themes that will resonate with journalists and readers; Leverage compelling storytelling and data-driven content
• Ability to network and influence colleagues on PR recommendations and strategies
• Solid analytical capabilities, to measure results and identify areas of opportunity
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, in order to effectively prioritize a number of simultaneous projects while meeting sometimes short deadlines
• Computer proficiency, including all Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, excel, etc.)
• Knowledge of DTCC, its services and the industry preferred

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
