Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Public Realm Senior Project Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to l ead planning, mobilisation, and delivery of Public Realm projects

What You'll Be Doing:

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead planning, mobilisation, and delivery of Public Realm projects, ensuring integration with wider city and programme delivery strategies.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Engineering and Design Management Plans aligned with programme objectives.
  • Manage the full lifecycle from design through construction to handover, ensuring quality, safety, and performance targets are met.

Technical Oversight & Governance

  • Lead governance and design review processes to ensure compliance with client requirements, standards, and specifications.
  • Coordinate technical assurance activities in support of the FIDIC Engineer.
  • Ensure consistency in delivery of all Public Realm elements incl. but not limited to; hardscape, softscape, lighting, security, and wayfinding across multiple projects.

Stakeholder & Interface Management

  • Coordinate with internal teams, delivery partners, and contractors to manage interfaces and achieve integrated delivery outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and programme partners.

Programme & Commercial Management

  • Support procurement strategies and contractor onboarding to ensure alignment with delivery objectives.
  • Monitor programme performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures to maintain schedule, cost, and quality targets.
  • Contribute to innovative delivery approaches and continuous improvement across the Public Realm portfolio.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including assignment of responsibilities and performance oversight.
  • Drive a high-performance culture through coaching, development, and clear accountability.
  • Support recruitment and team capability development as required.

Compliance & Assurance

  • Ensure full compliance with corporate governance, contractual obligations, safety requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Promote best practice in health, safety, sustainability, and quality across all project activities.

Minimum RequirementsEducation & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer (or equivalent professional accreditation) preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in large-scale multidisciplinary and Public Realm projects.
  • Proven experience delivering Public Realm projects across design and construction phases.

Skills & CompetenciesTechnical & Professional

  • Strong experience in Public Realm design, procurement, and delivery within complex programmes.
  • Knowledge of international standards and regional regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong consultant and contractor management capability.

Leadership & Delivery

  • Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary project teams
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex stakeholder and matrix environments
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, including delivery of complex engineering solutions.

Behavioural Competencies

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution ability.
  • High level of organisation, prioritisation, and time management.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.

Additional Experience (Desirable)

  • Experience working in the Middle East or on giga/mega projects
  • Infrastructure and city-scale delivery experience
  • Experience within integrated client/PMC delivery environments
