The Public Information Officer 1/2 supports Louisiana Works' communications efforts by developing and distributing clear, accurate, and timely information for external audiences. This position may draft press releases and other public-facing materials, create graphic, photographic, and video content for print, digital, and social media platforms, capture photos and videos at agency events, assist with media relations and public outreach activities, and help execute communications initiatives that support the agency's priorities. The Public Information Officer works within the Public Affairs team to ensure messaging and visual materials are consistent, accurate, and aligned across communication channels.
The Office of the Secretary (OOS) is responsible for setting the overall vision, mission and long-term goals of the department. OS provides leadership and management of all departmental programs, communicates departmental direction, ensures the quality of services provided, and fosters better relations with all stakeholders, thereby increasing awareness and use of departmental services.
