The Public Health Sanitarian I reports to the Department Manager 6. This position may conduct inspections or environmental sampling in one or more various programs including: Food, Pool, Childcare, Body Art, Septic/Well, Campground, or Vector Surveillance. The Public Health Sanitarian 1 will function as the primary trainer for employees in the lower classifications and conduct quality assurance activities with Environmental Compliance Technicians.

Obtain State or National registration as a Sanitarian/Environmental Health Specialist within 6 months of appointment to this classification.
