About the role:
The Public Health Registrar position is a training position, with an expectation of significant learning, achieving new competencies and related work productivity. Wuchopperen holds the Specialist Training Pathway (STP) funded position for the Public Health Registrar. There is a further 50-50 secondment agreement between Wuchopperen and the Queensland Health Cairns Public Health Unit (CPHU) and on agreed Queensland Health project(s), which is divided into 0.5 FTE public health at Wuchopperen, and 0.5 FTE at CPHU, with the opportunity to engage in some clinical service delivery activities at Wuchopperen where appropriate.
The Public Health Registrar is supervised by the Wuchopperen Director Medical Services (DMS) and a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health Medicine, Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine (AFPHM). The position has no supervisory responsibilities.
This position works closely with members of the Wuchopperen Service Excellence Unit, and maintains regular contact with other program staff to ensure effective outcomes for clients.
