Public Government Affairs Manager North Africa

Position key responsibilities and tasks:

Government Relations

• Build and maintain relationships with government officials, legislators, and regulatory agencies.

Policy Advocacy

• Research, analyze, and monitor legislative and regulatory issues affecting the organization. Develop and advocate for policy positions.

Legislative Tracking

• Monitor and track relevant legislation and regulatory changes, providing timely updates to internal stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with industry associations, coalitions, and advocacy groups to advance common goals.

Public Affairs Campaigns

• Develop and execute public affairs campaigns to raise awareness and garner supportfor key issues.

Strategic Planning

• Create comprehensive government affairs strategies to achieve organizational objectives. Compliance: // Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and
  regulations governing lobbying and government relations.

Communication

• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, reports, and materials for internal and external stakeholders.

Issue Management

• Respond to emerging issues and crises that may impact the organization's reputation or operations.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, law, or a related field (master’s preferred).
• 8 - 10 years proven experience in government affairs, public policy, or a related role within a multi-national organisation
• Strong understanding of the political and legislative process.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical and research abilities to assess policy implications.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience in managing advocacy campaigns is a plus.
