Roles & Responsibilities

Platform Architecture & Standardization

  • Design and architect resilient, highly available, and secure cloud platform solutions that serve as the foundation for multiple project teams.

  • Lead the architectural design of platform patterns (e.g., a hub-cluster model) to centralize shared Kubernetes services, improving efficiency and manageability.

  • Develop and evangelize reusable reference architectures and standardized patterns for operating runtime components and infrastructure services.

  • Provide expert consulting to internal teams, guiding them in the adoption of our standardized platforms and best practices to accelerate their projects.

Infrastructure & Plattform Engineering

  • Implement and manage the Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS, OCP) that host containerized workloads, championing tools like ArgoCD, Grafana, service mesh for secure and observable communication.

  • Build and operate the CI/CD and release management pipelines, enforcing advanced GitOps practices as the standard for automated and auditable operations.

  • Implement and maintain the network and security controls for our multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

Technical Leadership & Innovation

  • Empower internal cloud delivery and operations teams by leading the development of centralized tools and automation that increases their velocity and reduces operational friction.

  • Serve as a hands-on technical leader, providing coding and troubleshooting expertise in Terraform, Helm, and Python to create reusable modules and automation scripts.

  • Actively drive the evaluation and adoption of open-source tools to enhance our service and platform capabilities, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.

  • Drive the innovation of our observability stack by integrating AI capabilities to intelligently reduce alert noise, shorten diagnostic times and accelerate incident resolution for operations teams.

  • Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, inner-sourcing, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

  • B.E/ B. Tech / MCA / MSc / M.E

Experience:

  • 8-12 years in infrastructure, cloud, or software engineering roles, with a demonstrable progression towards architecture or platform engineering.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Cloud Platform Architecture: Deep expertise in designing and building scalable and secure solutions on at least one major public cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP).

  • Kubernetes Mastery: Advanced, hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and container orchestration. Specific experience with multi-cluster management (hub-spoke, etc.) is highly desirable.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Advanced coding skills in Terraform and Helm. Proficiency in a scripting language like Python or Go for automation is essential.

  • GitOps & CI/CD: A strong command of GitOps principles and hands-on experience building and running CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, flux).

  • Observability: Proven experience in designing and implementing observability solutions. Practical knowledge of the Grafana stack (Prometheus, Loki, Tempo) is a significant advantage.

  • Networking & Security: Strong knowledge of cloud networking concepts and security best practices for building shared infrastructure.

  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent consulting, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a passion for mentoring and evangelizing technical standards.

  • (Desirable) Domain Expertise: Knowledge of automotive and manufacturing processes is a plus.
