What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Public Area Attendant plays a vital role in delivering exceptional cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across both all public spaces of our luxury resort. This versatile position ensures an immaculate, safe, welcoming, and premium environment for guests by performing thorough cleaning, deep-cleaning task, and prompt attention to guest needs, often working independently in a fast-paced, high-standard hospitality setting.

Primary responsibilities for the Public Area Attendant role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Perform high-standard cleaning and maintenance of corridors, lobbies, hallways, restrooms, restaurants, bars, pool decks, fitness center, elevators, stairwells, offices, back-of-house areas, and other designated public and guest spaces, strictly following established checklists, procedures, and brand quality standards.
  • Uphold uncompromising cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, and aesthetic presentation in all assigned areas to meet luxury resort expectations.
  • Proactively identify, document, and immediately report maintenance deficiencies, safety hazards, spills, damage, lighting issues, or irregularities observed during rounds.
  • Execute intensive deep-cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing, floor polishing, high-dusting, window cleaning, and periodic high-volume turnaround cleaning.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, carts, and work areas in clean, organized, fully stocked condition; report low stock or equipment issues promptly.
  • Use approved cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment safely while adhering to all health, safety, sanitation, infection control, and environmental protocols.
  • Respond courteously and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, or minor needs encountered during shifts; promote goodwill by being friendly, helpful, and service-oriented.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strict adherence to procedures, timelines, quality expectations, and health & safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, neat personal appearance and organized work area at all times.
  • Participate in team briefings, training sessions, and departmental meetings to stay current on standards, updates, and operational goals.
  • Multitask effectively, meet deadlines, and handle large volumes of work while paying close attention to detail.
  • Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of proven experience in hotel public area cleaning, or directly comparable role in the hospitality industry (luxury, full-service, or upscale hotel/resort experience strongly preferred).
  • Housekeeping or Hospitality training Diploma or Certificate required.
  • Superior physical stamina and fitness to perform demanding, repetitive tasks—including prolonged standing, frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), pushing/pulling loaded carts or equipment, and continuous movement throughout large property areas for full shifts.
  • Fluency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English (primary workplace language) with strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with guests, supervisors, and teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, self-motivation, reliability, punctuality, and commitment to the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and guest satisfaction.
  • Positive, upbeat attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure team environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings/nights, weekends and public holidays required.
