Why Work at The Ricardo Marriott?

At The Ricardo Marriott DFW Westlake, we blend timeless elegance with contemporary hospitality to create a stay that feels both refined and effortlessly welcoming. With thoughtfully designed spaces, elevated culinary experiences, and amenities that anticipate every need, our hotel is a destination where details matter. Curators at The Ricardo Marriott thrive in a culture that celebrates excellence, embraces individuality, and brings unmatched moments to life through genuine, guest-centered service.

The Ricardo Marriott Hotel is hiring for a Public Area Attendant.

You should join our team if you believe...

  • That cleanliness, comfort, and care are essential to every great hotel experience.
  • That a guest’s first impression begins the moment they enter the hotel.
  • That public spaces should feel polished, welcoming, and ready at every hour of the day.
  • That details matter—from a spotless lobby and sparkling restrooms to clean hallways and thoughtfully maintained gathering spaces.
  • That every guest deserves a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
  • That teamwork between Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, and leadership keeps the hotel looking its best.
  • That the work guests may not always see is often the work they appreciate most.

You’re a great fit for this role if you love...

  • Keeping the lobby, hallways, elevators, restrooms, meeting spaces, entrances, and other public areas clean and welcoming.
  • Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, sanitizing, and maintaining guest-facing surfaces.
  • Cleaning and restocking public restrooms throughout the shift.
  • Monitoring high-traffic areas and responding quickly when something needs attention.
  • Emptying trash and recycling containers and maintaining clean waste-disposal areas.
  • Cleaning windows, mirrors, doors, fixtures, furniture, and decorative surfaces.
  • Maintaining Housekeeping closets, storage spaces, and supplies in an organized manner.
  • Responding courteously to guest requests and helping guests locate hotel amenities.
  • Communicating spills, maintenance concerns, damages, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items promptly.
  • Following proper procedures for cleaning chemicals, equipment, biohazards, and guest safety.
  • Assisting with meeting-room, restaurant, banquet, or event-area cleaning when needed.
  • Supporting Room Attendants, Housepersons, and other Curators when hotel priorities change.
  • Remaining attentive when the lobby is lively, events are underway, and every public space seems to need attention at the same time.
  • Taking pride in creating the polished surroundings that help guests feel welcomed and cared for.

We’re excited to have you join us because...

  • You understand that clean public spaces shape the guest’s impression of the entire hotel.
  • You have a strong eye for detail and notice what needs attention before a guest does.
  • You can work independently while remaining connected to and supportive of the Housekeeping team.
  • You know how to balance efficiency, quality, safety, and care.
  • You are dependable, organized, and ready to contribute throughout your shift.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally with guests, Curators, and leaders.
  • You are comfortable receiving direction and adjusting priorities as hotel needs change.
  • You follow safety procedures and use cleaning products and equipment responsibly.
  • You bring a positive attitude and a service-first mindset to every area you maintain.
  • You believe hospitality can be felt in every polished surface, refreshed restroom, and thoughtfully maintained space.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping, janitorial, professional cleaning, or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
  • Hotel, resort, restaurant, or high-traffic facility experience is a plus.
  • Marriott brand experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of public-area cleaning standards and safe cleaning procedures preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to follow assignments, safety instructions, and hotel procedures.
  • Ability to organize work and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with guests, Curators, and leaders.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning products, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred, but not required.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to bend, reach, twist, kneel, crouch, climb, and move repeatedly while cleaning public spaces.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull supplies, trash, cleaning equipment, furniture, and other items.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to push and pull housekeeping carts, vacuums, floor-care equipment, and waste containers.
  • Ability to climb and use ladders or step stools safely when required.
  • Ability to use cleaning products and equipment safely and according to procedures.
  • Ability to work in lobbies, restrooms, hallways, elevators, meeting rooms, restaurants, entrances, storage areas, and back-of-house spaces.
