As a Public Area Attendant at our Flinders Lane location in Melbourne, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our hospitality environment. This part-time contract position is ideal for individuals seeking entry-level opportunities in the hospitality and catering industry, contributing to an exceptional guest experience through attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, restrooms, and corridors, ensuring they are tidy and welcoming for guests.
• Perform routine inspections of public areas to identify and address cleanliness issues promptly.
• Restock supplies in public restrooms and other common areas as needed.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Assist in setting up and clearing areas for events or functions as required.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest inquiries and requests in a friendly manner.

Qualifications:

• No formal education required; however, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in a cleaning or hospitality role is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
