If yes, then we have an exciting job opportunity for you as Public Affairs Manager in Novo Nordisk Norway, where you will be a part of the Market Access & Public Affairs department (MAPA) bringing in new ideas and being part of a great team, in a positive and collaborative work environment. Our main goal is to make sure Norwegian patients have access to our medicines!

Your new role

You will be part of driving the public affairs strategy, the tactical planning and execution, supporting key commercial objectives across the Novo Nordisk portfolio, via national and regional engagement. The main responsibilities are:

  • Drive Novo Nordisk policy priorities in obesity, diabetes and haemophilia positioning Novo Nordisk as the leading company within our therapy areas.

  • Increase the general understanding of obesity as a growing social problem and the complex set of reasons behind obesity

  • Build, develop and leverage relationships to key external stakeholders (political stakeholders and decision makers, key opinion leaders, industry partners, specialist societies, patient associations and press)

  • Understand political processes and how they can be influenced

  • Establish platforms and meeting arenas for partnerships both within obesity and diabetes

  • Organize meetings / events bringing multiple stakeholders together

  • Drive and contribute to social responsibility and sustainability initiatives and projects adapted to the Norwegian market

  • Handle and coordinate press activities both reactively and proactively.

Our Norwegian affiliate consists of approximately 85 employees across sales, marketing, clinical, medical, and other functions. In the position of Market Access Manager where you will be a part of the MAPA team which consists of 5 employees: the MAPA Associate Director, the Market Access Manager, Public Affairs Manager and the Sustainability Manager.

Your skills & qualifications

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience from health-related organizations or preferably have worked as a political advisor

  • Higher scientific education for instance in political science, social studies, life sciences or journalism.

  • Prior experience with communication is beneficial.

  • Knowledge about our prioritized therapy areas

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to build lasting relations and partnerships with key stakeholders

  • Fluent in both written and spoken Norwegian and English and effective communicative level is crucial for the role.

  • Experienced and well-organized Project Manager

  • You work well under tight deadlines, have good coordination skills as well as maintaining a good overview

  • Experience as a political advisor to members of parliament or ministers is a plus for this role.

  • You are proactive and flexible, and adapt action plans to maximise opportunities and effectively address challenges

  • You have a one-team approach and “all hands-on deck” mentality
