The Public Affairs Manager & Government Relations Manager - Ukraine, will be responsible for developing and executing Getinge's public affairs and government relations agenda in Ukraine. The role will drive stakeholder engagement, monitor policy developments, support market access initiatives, and represent the company in interactions with government institutions, healthcare authorities, industry organizations, and other key stakeholders. The position will contribute to strengthening Getinge's long-term position and reputation in the Ukrainian healthcare sector.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Develop and execute Getinge's public affairs and government relations strategy in Ukraine, aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key government institutions, ministries, healthcare authorities, regulators, international organizations, donors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Represent Getinge in meetings, working groups, industry forums, conferences, and public policy discussions.
  • Monitor legislative, regulatory, and political developments affecting the healthcare and medical technology sectors, assessing potential business implications and providing strategic recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration with government bodies, international financial institutions, NGOs, and donor-funded healthcare programs.
  • Support market access initiatives by engaging with policymakers and stakeholders to promote innovative healthcare solutions.
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans to strengthen Getinge's reputation and position as a trusted partner in healthcare.
  • Coordinate advocacy activities in close cooperation with regional and global Public Affairs, Commercial, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Business Development teams.
  • Prepare briefing materials, position papers, presentations, and communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all public affairs activities are conducted in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Getinge's Code of Conduct.
  • Identify strategic partnership opportunities with professional associations, healthcare organizations, academic institutions, and industry bodies.
  • Provide regular updates and strategic insights to local, regional, and global leadership regarding the external policy environment and stakeholder landscape.
  • Support executive visits, institutional meetings, and high-level engagements with public authorities and strategic partners.
  • Contribute to strengthening Getinge's visibility and reputation as a trusted partner supporting the modernization and resilience of Ukraine's healthcare system.

Compliance with local regulations and corporate requirements

  • Initiating and implementing changes in the quality management, health and safety and environmental protection system.
  • Compliance with the functioning of health and safety rules and the quality management system in the subordinate department.
  • Compliance with general legal regulations, the Labour Code, internal regulations, procedures, instructions and official instructions.
  • Compliance with the company's Code of Conduct and related
    ethics and compliance requirements.

Personal data protection

Acting responsibly and protecting personal data in accordance with the GDPR and company policy to ensure a high level of data protection. Attending all mandatory data protection training.

Special projects/tasks

Participation in projects and tasks commissioned or confirmed by a supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Higher education in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Economics, Healthcare Management, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in a similar position: 5-8 years of relevant Public Affairs, Government Relations, Healthcare Policy, Corporate Affairs, Regulatory or institutional-relations experience; Healthcare, MedTech, pharma, public health or government-sector experience preferred
  • Required or desired certifications: N/A.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of the Ukrainian healthcare system, public administration, reimbursement landscape, and regulatory environment.
  • Established network and credibility with relevant government institutions, healthcare authorities, industry associations, and key sector stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build, maintain, and influence relationships with public sector stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Experience in Public Affairs, Government Relations, Market Access, Healthcare Policy, or a related function.
  • Experience within the healthcare, medical technology, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries is highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to analyze legislative, regulatory, and policy developments and translate them into actionable business insights and recommendations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to navigate complex political and stakeholder environments.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, discretion, and commitment to compliance.
  • Fluency in Ukrainian and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital collaboration tools.
  • Valid Category B driving license.
