The Public Affairs Associate will support the delivery of high-impact Public Affairs initiatives and administrative activities that strengthen community partnerships, engage employees, support government relations, activate sponsorships and advance broader corporate priorities. This role will participate in and provide support for various Public Affairs team efforts including community investments, sponsorship activation, employee volunteer programs, event coordination, government relations, and corporate administration.

What will you do?

Event Coordination: Planning and executing events for public and government affairs activities, community investment and sponsorship. Plan and execute Mosaic Cares Days (volunteering) for Saskatchewan employees. Act as the Public Affairs representative on the Regina Office Social Committee and plan social events for employees. Manage the team’s event calendar, contact lists, tickets and attendee coordination for events. Support facility tours led by government relations for stakeholder events with on-site teams.

Community Partnership Coordination: Processing grant applications, securing approvals, generating grant agreements, and payment administration. Community investment and sponsorship partner engagement, activations and funding announcements. Representing Mosaic at events.

Director and Team Support: Support general payment needs including PO creation, vendor set-ups and other needs for PA payments. Various administrative tasks as needed.

What do you need for this role?

• High School/GED required
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Marketing or Administration degree or diploma preferred
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• 2+ years of administrative, Public Affairs, community partnership, and/or sponsorship experience preferred
• Effectively manage time and work independently
• Strong attention to detail and follow up; Well organized and detail orientated
• Competent writer and communicator; Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Able to complete tasks with accuracy and precision
• Be tactful and professional; Experience in a corporate office an asset
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
