Course Title: Trial Advocacy

Location: Chancellor Day Hall

The course aims to teach students the basic techniques of written and oral advocacy, including developing a theory of a case, drafting pleadings, engaging in effective examinations on discovery, direct examinations, cross-examinations, and examinations of expert witnesses, and delivering a closing argument. The class is hands on and requires active participation in practical exercises.

Please note that this course will be allocated to a member using an exemption as per article 15.03.03 of the MCLIU collective agreement.

TQR: At a minimum, a first degree in law. Several years of significant practice or professional experience, in the relevant area; Experience in teaching undergraduate law students in a bilingual setting.
