Napa Valley Care Center is seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work closely with Physical Therapists to help patients improve mobility, restore function, reduce pain, and achieve their highest level of independence.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated PTA who is passionate about patient-centered care and making a meaningful impact in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:
✅ Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
✅ Provide therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional performance
✅ Assist patients with gait training, transfer training, mobility activities, and use of adaptive equipment
✅ Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate progress to the Physical Therapist
✅ Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal requirements
✅ Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety precautions, and mobility techniques
✅ Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
✅ Participate in care planning meetings and discharge planning as needed
✅ Ensure a safe, supportive, and motivating treatment environment
