Receives, inspects, counts and signs for incoming and/or outgoing supplies and equipment. Takes cycle counts and assists in compiling stock reports. Keys all receipts into computer system. Keeps daily flow of receiving documents from Purchasing. Replenishes stock for departments on daily basis. Maintains barcoding system for patient charges. Prepares items to be shipped. Assist Director of Materials management in preparing purchase orders when needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. High school diploma or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE:

1. Six (6) months of materials management experience

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Under supervision of the Materials Manager, signs for, unloads and inspects for damage of shipments. Verifies accuracy of shipment by comparing items received with receiving copies of purchase orders and shippers packing slip. Upon receipt of Direct Orders obtains department signature and forwards completed paperwork to Accounts Payable daily.

2. Enters receipts in MMIS system with comments and pertinent information. Initiates orders for inventory items with Purchasing Department. Resolves problems resulting from back ordered items.

3. Enters all receipts directly into Computer System complete with pertinent comments when necessary

4. Records and reports discrepancies to manager and enters discrepancies into computer, sends copy to accounts payable

5. Answers inquiries regarding purchase order status from order departments.

6. Maintains receiving area in a clean, safe and orderly manner; i.e., sweeping, dusting, etc.

7. Assures delivery of packages to departments, upon arrival

8. Performs clerical duties related to Receiving area.

9. Assists department manager with special assignments such as taking inventory, filling exchange carts, etc

6. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting equipment. May occasionally lift items and carry items of various sizes and weights.
