Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Slot Technicians, this position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, major overhauls and modifications to various casino assets as well as other assigned duties. Must be collaborative, excel at multi-tasking and display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
Maintains and repairs slot/video machines and associated progressive meters on gaming floor
Responsible for mechanical and electrical repairs at the circuit board level
Complies with pre-determined internal controls and procedures
Complies with safety and security standards including use of required safety equipment and identifies unsafe practices or conditions
Performs machine installations, moves and conversions along with ensuring that such activities are properly documented to comply with regulatory and internal requirements
Is familiar with design, repair and maintenance standards for all Electronic and Slot Games
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Maintenance and repair of all slot machines and related casino equipment
Ensures all applicable Internal Control Manual policies and procedures pertaining to slot machines are strictly adhered to
Performs Jackpot inspections as outlined by the Internal Control Manual by verifying the Slot Machine has not been tampered with
Converts move and install slot machines and casino related equipment as required
Maintains a high level of knowledge on the different slot machines
Promotes and maintains the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of customer service towards customers, team members, and stakeholders
Maintains general awareness of gaming operations at all times and comply with security policies and procedures to secure company assets
Maintains a clean and safe work environment
Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
Post Secondary required or comparable combination of equivalent working experience and education with a background in electronics
Experience in the related field of one (1) or more years and hands-on working experience in a slot operations area and electronics area is preferred
Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Knowledge of slot operating systems
Possesses strong troubleshooting, organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
Requires working knowledge of computer software packages and the ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment
Must have a professional attitude, strong interpersonal skills and be a proven team player
Detailed oriented and Excellent problem-solving skills
Must be able to work on equipment and lift up to 50lbs
Must be able to move machines weighing 100-800 pounds using proper equipment
Work Environment Considerations
Regular casino environment, standing for long periods of time, some exposure to loud noise, and non-traditional work hours.
