Job Description
Reporting to the Hardware Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:
- To maintain lumber and hardware in M19.
- To maintain the customer and vendor master files.
- To administer start and end of day procedures.
- To co-ordinate maintenance of hardware equipment and software programs.
- To co-ordinate file maintenance activities for Home Centres.
- To answer the phone in a friendly and courteous manner as required.
- To maintain a constant alert against the unauthorized removal of merchandise.
- To perform other duties as assigned.
- To maintain hardware and lumber receiving books.
- Period end and year end procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be strongly service-oriented and motivated, and capable of serving customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Must be well organized, and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum of supervision.
- Minimum of three years lumber and hardware product and receiving experience.
- Must possess sufficient knowledge of Hardware and Building Products in order to operate effectively.
- Must possess sufficient data entry experience.
- Computer skills and knowledge.
- Must possess knowledge and experience in the operation of home centre computer system. (M19)
- Must be available to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
