Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced Psychological Operations (PSYOP) / Military Information Support Operations (MISO) Planner to integrate MISO functions and tasks into all facets of Combatant Command (CCMD) / Unified Command-level planning. The planner will ensure PSYOP/MISO considerations are incorporated into command decision‑making processes.

Location: Offutt AFB, Omaha NE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, integrate, and assess PSYOP/MISO in campaign plans, OPLANs, and crisis action planning.
  • Provide expert mission analysis, analytic problem solving, and assessment support.
  • Develop innovative concepts to counter adversarial use of information in the Information Environment (IE).
  • Incorporate culturally significant factors into operational and tactical planning, security, and risk assessments.
  • Integrate information systems and information-related capabilities (IRC), and coordinate with interagency and intelligence community partners.
  • Review, analyze, and operationalize tactical and operational IO-related directives.
  • Apply technical expertise across tactical, operational, and strategic planning and execution.Identify and track measures of performance and measures of effectiveness.
  • Advise senior leaders on the application of PSYOP/MISO during development of operational concepts.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Information Operations (IO), Military Deception (MILDEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Cyberspace Operations.
  • Ability to integrate Army capabilities and synchronize activities across warfighting functions.
  • Familiarity with core, supporting, and related IO competencies to assist CCMD planners.
  • Expertise in oral, visual, and written communication and briefing techniques.
  • Strong ability to advise, negotiate, and persuade managers, military officials, and senior leaders.
  • Proven capability in gaining acceptance of recommended concepts, ideas, policies, and guidance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimu of 8 years of planning experience in the PSYOP (37A/37F) career field. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered with relevant military service in lieu of the bachelors degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of MISO planning and execution at the service or joint level in support of CCMD or Joint Task Force operations.
  • Knowledge of joint operational planning, military decision-making, campaign planning, targeting processes, and development/assessment of tactical and operational PSYOP/MISO plans, orders, and series.
  • Understanding of service component functions (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force) and their relationships to CCMDs for proper coordination of PSYOP/MISO activities.
  • Ability to relocate to Omaha, NE and work on-site in client facilities.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Current U.S. Passport.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
    • Eligible for ACCM and Special Access Program read‑on.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with joint or combined military operations and interagency coordination.
  • Knowledge of DoD, joint, and Army doctrine, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to recommend changes to policy, force structure, design, and command relationships.
  • Skilled in planning, integrating, executing, and assessing PSYOP/MISO within operational plans.
  • Strong understanding of command relationships and command and control (C2) procedures.
  • Ability to coordinate PSYOP/MISO actions across military and interagency channels and develop policies that incorporate C2 principles.
  • Ability to engage senior leaders and conduct complex briefings to large audiences.
  • Experience working within task-organized working groups.
  • Expertise in planning, integrating, and coordinating with interagency and intelligence community entities.
  • Ability to develop and utilize information products that leverage emerging technologies to support planning and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills; able to quickly learn new skills and adapt effectively.
  • Experience synchronizing adjacent and supporting operations, and developing support activities for related capabilities.
  • Familiarity, certification, or operational experience in:– Military Deception (MILDEC)– OPSEC– Electronic Warfare (EW)– Cyberspace operations– Coordinating intelligence requirements
  • Recent joint or service-level PSYOP/MISO planning experience.
  • Graduate of the Army Psychological Operations Qualification Course (POQC) (37A/37F).
  • Graduate of the MISO Program Design and Assessment Course (MPDAC).
  • Graduate of the Special Operations or Joint Military Deception Planners Course.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
