Job description:

The Psychometrician - Masters, under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist, will be responsible for the completion of psychological assessment and treatment services. This will include, but not be limited to, the administration, scoring and reporting of intellectual, neuropsychological, personality and vocational test batteries and / or the completion of behavioural assessments and interviews to children / families receiving services through the program. Treatment services to be completed when training and supervision are available. Related research and support duties may also be requested.

Education

• A masters degree in psychology

Experience

• Experience in CBT, DBT, family therapy and trauma-informed practice

• Ability to conduct client assessments and engage in effective treatment planning
• Demonstrates ability to manage time and competing deadlines
• Ability to administer and interpret psychological tests

• Ability to report client information in accordance with professional standards
• Knowledge in psychological assessments/testing with complex children and youth

• Knowledge in clinical theory and best practice
• Ability to perceive and analyze problems and effect innovative solutions
• Ability to facilitate educational and skill development groups
• Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
• Ability to utilize computerized assessment & interpretation software packages
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills
• Ability to collect, record, report comprehensive client information accurately
• Advance computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access).

Other Information

• Experience with children, youth and families is preferred
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
