• $123k - $148k (pro -rata) dependent on experience + Super + benefits

About the role
The Psychology Educator - Early Career Programs, oversees psychology registrar, graduate and student placement programs, and contributes to supervision, training, quality improvement and research initiatives.
This senior role plays a key role in building workforce capability, supporting early career psychologists, and embedding best-practice, recovery-oriented care within a specialist forensic mental health setting.
As a Psychology Educator you will:
• Lead the coordination, recruitment, training and supervision of psychology registrars, graduates and postgraduate students
• Deliver specialist education, training and clinical supervision in clinical and forensic psychological practice
• Manage psychology student placement programs, including university liaison, selection and evaluation
• Collaborate with psychology leaders and interdisciplinary educators to deliver integrated early career programs
• Contribute to quality improvement, research activity and the application of evidence-based practice in forensic mental health education.
What You Will Bring
You are a highly experienced psychologist and educator with a strong background in forensic and/or mental health settings. You bring demonstrated clinical leadership, advanced teaching capability and a passion for developing the next generation of psychologists.
Specifically, you will bring:
• General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
• Master’s or Doctoral qualifications (Clinical, Forensic or Clinical Neuropsychology)
• Eligibility for Area of Practice Endorsement
• Approval as a Board approved supervisor
• Extensive senior experience in mental health or forensic mental health
• Demonstrated capability in delivering training, supervision and clinical leadership
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
