Job Description

For almost 18 years, Grace Children’s Therapy has been a leading paediatric and adolescent occupational therapy practice in the Sydney Hills District supporting children, young people, and their families to thrive at home, school, and in the community.

We’re now expanding our services — and this is where you come in.

We’re looking for an innovative and energetic Psychologist to spearhead the development of our new Psychological Services stream This is a rare opportunity to shape something from the ground up within a supportive, established team.

About the Role:

As our first psychologist, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering evidence-based psychological services for children, adolescents, young adults and families. You’ll collaborate closely with our occupational therapists and leadership team to build an integrated service model that truly supports the whole person.

Grace works with children and young people ranging from 0 years to 25 years and their families. The clients we work with generally have a range of disabilities and mental health disorders.

You’ll provide support across a diverse caseload, including:

  • Children and young people with autism, ADHD, and other neurodiverse profiles and developmental challenges.
  • Children and young people with acquired or traumatic brain injury and other physical disabilities requiring emotional regulation and adjustment support.
  • Families managing feeding challenges and providing support with eating disorders (such as arfid).
  • Young people navigating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, or school-based challenges
  • Clients and families requiring adjustment support related to disability, trauma or major life transitions (including parent coaching).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing assessment, diagnosis, and individualised therapy plans for children and young adults with a range of developmental, emotional, and behavioural needs
  • Delivering therapy using creative, evidence-based, and developmentally appropriate approaches
  • Supporting innovation in therapy delivery — whether that’s through group programs, telehealth, or creative approaches to engagement.
  • Working closely with families, schools, and support networks to promote wellbeing and functional outcomes.
  • Contributing to the design and rollout of our psychology service model.
  • Providing parent coaching and psychological services to support families

What we’re looking for:

  • Registration as a Psychologist (AHPRA Registration)
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and families
  • A collaborative and forward-thinking mindset
  • Energy, creativity, and a passion for making an impact
  • Interest in helping shape and grow a new service stream within a well-respected allied health practice.
  • House-keeping requirements include a Working with Children Check, Police Check and NDIS screener, NSW Drivers Licence, CPR.
