Job Description

Primary Care Solutions provides industry-leading Primary Care services to Veterans. Veteran-led and clinician-managed, we deliver compassionate, expert medical care, establishing personal bonds with our Veterans in our Community-Based Outpatient Clinics. We have consistently achieved high marks from the VA in our Community-Based Outpatient Clinics, and we are excited to discover first-rate colleagues to join our group.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Psychologist with Primary Care Solutions, you'll have the opportunity to serve our nation's Veterans with the same exceptional level of care our Veterans have shown while serving our country. We are seeking healthcare professionals who are driven and committed to ensuring the health and well-being of our nation's Veterans.

  • Office hours are Mon - Fri 8:00am to 4:30pm.
  • Cross cover other NM CBOCs
  • Clinician must practice onsite at one of our NM Locations
  • No evenings, holidays, on - call, or weekends!
  • Work as a member of an interdisciplinary mental health team comprised of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, and social workers and work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary clinical teams.
  • Have knowledge of behavioral medicine and psychotherapeutic techniques in the assessment and treatment of patients with the goal of assisting patients to partner with the interdisciplinary team is working to diminish, eliminate, or better cope with chronic medical conditions, as well as stabilization of common psychological conditions, especially those which impact the veteran's ability to maintain independence in the home environment.
  • Use evidenced-based psychotherapies, relaxation techniques, stress management, and/or other discipline appropriate techniques
  • Demonstrated experience working with adults, especially those with comorbid medical or psychiatric diagnoses, is strongly preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active and unrestricted Clinical Psychologist license
  • Doctorate in Psychology or related field
  • Minimum of 1-3 years' post-master direct counseling experience with adult patients
  • Proven mastery of advanced sociological, psychological, and mental health care-related interventions and issues
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (Must be Renewed Annually)
