Primary Duties and Responsibilities


The Department of Psychiatry is seeking to hire a a part-time Psychologist II to join the Insomnia Clinic. The Insomnia Clinic provides behavioral treatments for insomnia that do not involve medications. Primary duties include:

  • Delivering CBT-I treatment through structures individual therapy sessions
  • Running therapy sessions using cognitive-behavioral therapy
  • Reviewing clinicians intake materials to develop personalized treatment plans
  • Tracking patients progress through sleep diaries, clinical assessments and session interactions
  • Maintaining timely documentation in the electronic medical record system
  • Training psychology interns, externs, and residents
  • Other clinician duties as assigned

Please note: this is a limited position that may convert to career
Salary range: $63.75/hr - $84.08/hr


Job Qualifications

PhD or PsyD in Clinica PsychologyValid CA Psychologist LicenseMinimum 2 years of post-doc experiencePrevious experience with insomnia patientsPrevious experience with CBT-IStrong computer skills including word processing, e-mail systems, spreadsheets, and electronic medical recordsAbility to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writingAbility to work and practice professional relationships with other therapists, medical personnel, and patients
