Programs include inpatient interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long term psychiatric services are coordinated with the total system of care in Louisiana
ELMHS is seeking a passionate and motivated Psychologist to join our facility as a Psychologist 4! This position will develop and direct complex programs of psychological services, specialized psychological assessment and treatment programs

Job Duties:
In this role, you will:
Perform complex tasks that include: program development, supervision of clinical services, direct provision of services, consultation in behavior management practices to other disciplines, ongoing professional peer evaluation, competency to stand trial assessment (both independently and in tandem with psychiatry), serving on review panels as needed, and providing court testimony on the issue of competence to stand trial, and contributing to a doctoral level internship.
The employee also serves as the head of the multi-disciplinary Behavior Management Plan Committee, which is hospital–wide, reviews and approves behavior management plans created by the psychology department prior to plan implementation.
Direct the complex program of psychological services provided to clients at the ASSA unit of ELMHS including coordination of treatment and care for patients.
Develop and direct specialized psychological assessment and treatment programs for the improvement of patient care. Coordinates when there are time conflicts over where to complete evaluations.
Provides regular supervision to master’s level psychology staff and Psychologist 1-3 and doctoral-level interns as needed and sets challenging yet achievable goals.
