This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health (OMH), Spartanburg Area Mental Health Center, 250 Dewey Ave, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
As a member of the treatment team, interviews, diagnose and prescribe care and treatment of the psychiatric patients. Prescribe medication, psychotherapy and provide evaluation of patients and consultation to other medical and non-medical staff, confer with advise medical doctors, agency representatives, staff members in the care and treatment of the psychiatric patient. Under general supervision, you will exercise medical responsibility to identified patients and duties with both adult and child populations. Assist with the Center's overall analysis of broad problems and planning interrelated activities. Provide services in a culturally sensitive manner.
