Psychiatrist - PRN

Location: McCallum Place Eating Disorder Center, 231 W. Lockwood Avenue, Suite 202, St. Louis, MO 63119

We are currently seeking to add a PRN Psychiatrist to our team!

Our Team

McCallum Place is a nationally acclaimed, comprehensive eating disorder treatment center for pre-adolescents, adolescents, adults, and athletes of all genders. Our location in St. Louis, Missouri is unique in that we offer on-site medical and psychiatric management combined with intensive individualized psychotherapy, making us a center of excellence and great alternative to traditional hospital settings.

We integrate personalized nutritional support and best practices throughout our treatment. Our state-of-the-art eating disorder programs and setting are designed to create an environment of structure and support for restoration and healing.

Caseload: 12-20 patients per week on average

Schedule: PRN onsite; as needed for vacation coverage

Patient Profile: Adolescents and Adults

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate psychiatric stability of patients and determine the necessary level of care
  • Collaborating and oversight with Nurse Practitioners level of care for each patient
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and collaborate with onsite medical provider for recommendations
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner
  • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Skills Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) REQUIRED
  • One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred
  • Licensed in the state in which the practitioner will be working
  • Eating disorder experience is preferred

Licenses/Certifications

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in psychiatry
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working
